Just Saying...

I know I haven't posted for a while (in fact I actually wrote this almost a month ago then forgot to post it!) . We're still trying to sort out lap top issues :( Mine broke or caught some kind of virus, we're not sure which yet. So Kristopher and I have been sharing since we got back from vacation and it's been a little hard. Yes I know that sounds rather spoiled of us, but we are both very Internet dependant people and we both use computers all the time.

So last night Kristopher and I finally decided to see what the hype was about and we rented Twilight. It was really good! I decided, for once, to see the movie before I read the books and I must admit, I liked it far better this way. I was actually able to enjoy the movie for what it was and not spend the entire time picking out everything they left out from the book. I LOVE the Harry Potter movies and get so excited when they come out, but then I spend 4 hours after the movie complaining about everything they left out. Obviously most movies don't include everything that the book does, or else some movies would be way too long. But it irks me when I KNOW what they leave out.

We also rented Marley & Me, which was also good, but of course had my crying like a baby toward the end. ***MOVIE SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!***** If you haven't seen Marley & Me and want to, then STOP READING and leave this post as what I'm about to say is a spoiler. This movie was based off a book also, but after seeing the movie I have NO intention of reading the book, for it will only be more detailed in how it breaks my heart! Of course the stupid dog dies in the end! I can't believe I didn't see that coming! I was so mad that they'd make a movie where the dog that you grow to love during the movie, dies in the end! It was worse than Old Yeller! The camera did a close up shot of his sad, old face as the vet was injecting the stuff to put him to sleep and you saw his eyes closing slowly....OMG it was torture!! He won't admit it, but when I glanced over at Kristopher, I know I saw some wet streaks on his face and he sniffled more than once. Anyway, it was good, but I'm not sure all the funny parts were worth the heartbreak at the end. If anything, this movie just convinced us NOT to get a dog that we will fall in love with and will then die! In fact I'm not too happy about the cats right now either! I dread the day when they will leave us :( I just can't think about it.

So let's re-cap. Vampires= good. Dogs= not good. That is my official position on the matter.
